Re: blue bulbs



I posted earlier this year that I had actually tested this. The brand
new "blue" bulb was actually 2 stops dimmer than a 10 year old standard
9004 in the visible spectrum. That is to say the blue bulb puts out only
25% of the light and is _very_ noticeably dimmer. A brand new "plain"
bulb was about 1/3 of a stop brighter than the old bulb. You could gain
another fraction of a stop with a relay setup.
