I just looked into this for my '85.  I got two estimates - and both were
within $100 of each other.  

One was $1900 and the other was $2000.

There was a little rust damage to fix, but nothing major.  

I decided not to spend that much on my winter beater so I did it myself
(with help in the welding for the rust damage).  I figure with great
shocks, brakes and studded Hakka 1's it'll do the job I bought it for.
