If you had the right offset on the wheels, I think you could make it fit. 
Mine were mounted on 16x7.5 with 45mm offset.  I had a fair amount of
negative camber, and the letters on the inside of the left tire rubbed the
inner fenderwell ever so slightly underreally hard cornering.  I never
even heard it, but I could see the witness marks.  I can live with that.
