The 1990 100 has the 2.3L high compression (10:1) motor. If you swap
it into your 1986 car, you'll need to swap the knock sensing ignition
and fuel injection systems too (ECUs and all wiring, sensors, etc).
Other items to use from the new motor includes all the plumbing. It's
best to have the donor car handy so you can lift any piece that you need
while you work.
