RE: Which relay for Driving Lights
Follow the direction that come with the lights, you will have the proper
relay in your package. The "on" wire to the relay can connect to your high
beams, so the driving lights will come on when the "highs" are on. It is not
advised to increase the bulb wattage (contrary to popular belief), you will
not improve your lights by much (if any), your prism is designed for 55Watts
and too much heat (from a bigger bulb) will overheat your light and might
cause premature failure.
Have fun with the lights, they should greatly improve your visibility, if
possible mount them on the bumper.

Subject: Which relay for Driving Lights
I'll be picking up a set of 55W Bosch driving lights for my 87 5Kq tommorow.
I intend to wire them so that they turn on with my high-beams and are
powered from the alternator. What size relay should I use? At some point I
may upgrade the bulbs to 85W if possible. I read a few posts in the archives
about upgrading the supplied wires to 12ga. Will this be necessary for 85W
bulbs if I ever get them?
Thanks in adavance.
