sorry to drag this on, but still wanting to make my point. Items forgotten
and since rembered from posting earlier:
windshield
cam belt
water pump
starter motor
new tires (8)
wheels (4)
WOT switch
wheel bearings (all)
cigarette lighter (for the phone...)
2nd gear synchro
complete new paintjob (everywhere)
both factory new front seat belts (safety first!!)
still need:
new front seats in original wooly tweed or complete leather interior
new original power antenna (wish me luck)
original steering wheel
The list is longish, but given that I bought the car in May of '98 and took
it into the shop the week after midsummer, it should be. Next weekend is
looking like the memorable weekend to go pick it up. There will be more
items as I remember or once it gets on the road, but what the hell - I knew
what I was getting into.
