I can say that I bought a fixer-upper UrQ and you're looking at $5000 at
least and that's not even touching the engine. Can you say: timing
belts, hoses, radiators, bombs, induction parts, coils, ignition control
units, water pumps, alternators, exhaust, fuel injectors, fuel pumps,
accumulators, filters, fuse boxes, tie rods, bushings, ball joints, cv
joints, bearings, strut bearings, diff seals, etc. Plus thousands of
hours of rewiring and general labor. To rehab the rear suspension alone
costs $1000 in parts and A LOT of time and effort. These are great cars
but I make a decent income for a young guy and almost all of my
disposable income has gone into the car. HTH.
