89 200tq brake light switch, any BTDT on crosses???

anybody know what other models use this switch, mine melted down and the
kind Illinois State Trooper didn't give me a ticket...
but. having done the baling wire and bubble gum approach, need a new switch
asap...unfortunately, waiting 2-3 days to get it from linda won't cut it.
the nearest dealer is approx 2 1/2 hours away...VW dealers are a bit more
common, anybody BTDT???? maybe a cross to a cross to a cross ......

you get the idea...
