Antenna in Windshield follow up and a new question

Thanks to the person who suggested I look in the A-pillar(too many PCs
with email to look up who actually suggested that). Sure enough, there
was the loose end of the wire from the windshield. Called around and
have the wire that goes from the windshield to the radio coming soon, so
all is well there . . .

. . . however, in the process of feeling around the rear of the radio
(that doesn't sound quite right does it), I must have disconnected
something, because now the outside temp reads 48 (when is was closer to
38 this morning, never changes and the outside temp indicator light
blinks on and off slowly for a few minutes when I first start the car.
Any ideas of exactly where I should start looking? Bentley is on the
way, so until then I'm flying pretty blind.
