Not exactly, since you didn't post the Vin, I suspect you
have "4C" in 7-8, and an "M" in 10. The 4C just indicates
it's a V8Q, the year doesn't refer to the year of
model/manufacture, but the year that particular Vin
nomenclature was adopted (supposedly). 7-8 on most
V8Q's I've seen are 44, again, no indication of year
just model.
Always go by the 10th digit and the door jamb when
determining model year.
The only difference is the manual are additions and
corrections to the original 1990 version, most notably
the addition of wiring and the 4.2L engine.
This info is for USA spec.
