RE: What is the best Thermostat temp?



The reason that many cars run hotter with out any thermostat is that the
flow goes from a 1 inch hole(with the thermostat) to a 4 inch hole(without
the thermostat).  Water pressure from the pump goes down and the flow is
slowed making it run hotter.  Many American cars have this problem since the
thermostat is right after the pump.  Reread your fluid dynamics books from
College.
