windows

My 87 5KCSTQ has gone on to better pastures in Boulder CO.  New owner
(my sister) reports the following problem:  Driver's side and passenger
side front windows are not closing all the way.  Apparently she is
experiencing some grinding noises as the windows attempt to close
(electric windows they are).  In my years of ownership the car has never
done this.  I thought if it was one window it may just be off-track, but
two........?  Could it be a regulator problem?  If anyone has
experienced this problem, and can advise as to possible causes, remedies
and costs, please let me know!
