kinda surprising though, as I took my UrQ out today in subfreezing temp 
when the thermostat opened I still got heat, the rad fan never came on 
though!  I would think that either temp vs a nonfunctioning unit would 
prove more useable, rule of thumb is higher temp in winter. lower in 
summer.
