Re: eurolights on an A4?

There are several manufacturers of Euro-spec lights for the A4. The Bosch
units, which is also the US-Spec manufacturer, has the H7/H1 combo. I
believe they are available through Greedspeed and Autobahn.

LL Tek sells a unit with H4 bulbs (which it seems like it's easier to get
higher wattage bulbs for. It's made by Valeo?, I think). The H4 unit does
not have the integral fog lights that both Bosch units have so LL Tek sells
bumper fog lights which look similar to the A6 fog lights. But it does have
"city lights" - don't know what they are. If you get the Valeo units I
think you also need to get the corner lamps as well, since they don't fit
well with the existing Bosch corners. LL Tek is also having a Christmas
special. Can't remember the price.

For the Bosch unit, it's the same bulbs as US-stock, but a different
reflector and glass lenses instead of polycarbonate. I need to try my
headlights again, but I don't think the US-Spec has the "bulge" on the side
of the beam pattern that lights up road signs, etc.

No, I have not purchased any E-spec lights yet, but both units are said to
be an improvement over the stock lights. I adjusted my stock lights upward
*slightly* and it greatly improved visibility.

That post mentions the use of H7 bulbs in the Euro, which is exactly
what's in the U.S. versions too. I don't know what's different,
lens and reflector design? The stock US A4 headlights has the Euro-style
cutoff pattern too...
