Re: alignment questions
Huw,
I would suggest (IMHO) running 1 degree of negative camber, and around
1/16" toe in. That's close to factory spec, and you shouldnt have too many
problems with these settings.
It is really important to have equal camber on both sides. The pulling to
one side is caused mainly by incorrect camber.
You might want to try playing with the toe setting to see what works best
for you. Some guys run toe OUT, which improves turn-in.
I have 205/50/15 tires on a 15x7 rim with 35mm offset on my 82 two door
sedan 4k. The tires fill the fenders nicely, and traction is great. The car
gets a little squirrely in the rain, since it only weighs 2170 lbs.
(verified at public scale) and is prone to hydroplaning. Since its a
front-driver, I just watch the tach go way up, and let off the throttle a
bit. Don't have to worry too much about swapping ends on the highway.
