BTDT.
I had Blue Ignitors on my '89 100Q for some time. Very good wires, ran
well for 4 years or so. I sang their praises on the list all the time.
Then, one of the broke replacing plugs. Couldn't fix it myself (I
tried a la their instructions), so I had to send them back. That meant
buying a set of Bosch's to use for the 2 weeks I'd be without wires
while I shipped them back.
Anyway, they replaced the boot, no charge, and "bench and car" tested
the wires to certify them OK. I get them back, put them in, got rid of
the Bosch's (MISTAKE!) and shortly thereafter started having a REALLY
infuriating wet running problem. My car stuttered and bucked whenever
it was out in the wet.
Since the wires were certified OK, I replaced EVERYTHING else I could,
cost $$$$. Finally, with nothing left to try, I replaced the wires with
Bosch OEM's at 40% less cost than the Blue Ignitors. They worked
perfectly, wet problem gone, car runs better, etc.
Bottom line: I think that I liked the Blue Ignitors since I was
comparing new ones to 4 year old OEM wires. Same problem when you
compare new shocks to the ragged out ones you took out.
I will henceforth buy ONLY the Bosch OEM wires.
