RE: Pirelli P700Z experience

Phil
Didn't the UR-Q come with the P7 ????? I thought that was the one
it had and the much more expensive one. Wasnt the P7 also the first Low
Profile Performance tire made kind of??
BTW RJ, the P700 is good but depends on what you want. I put the
Bridestone RE-71's on my 4kq and love them. They should be in $70 range
to and I would say would be a better track tire but wont last as long as
the P700. RE-71 is Z-rated too, dual tread compound, Capped, etc. Nice
tire for the money, Tread Wear is a whopping 140! :-) (That is bad in
case you didn't know) For comparison I am guessing the P700 is about 220
which is where I think the Dunlop D40 and 8000 are. Just guessing though.
The Pirelli P6 and P7000SS are good tires if you want long tread life at a
300tread wear and TOYO F4Z or something looks good at 300 too. These will
be better than a D60 I spose but not as good as the REAL performance tire.
Surprisingly, the P7000SS looks faster but in Tire Rack Tests the 6000
outperforms it in almost every test. Hmm

>WHAT!! WHAT!!??
>These are the original stock tyres - 95% of UK ur-quattros run on P700Zs.
>I have one set on the car - but Pirelli has discontinued them and we're
Good luk with you Plea Phil :-)
