Engine Temp

Hello Everyone,

Happy Hollidays to all, hope everyone is well.  I have  a question about
the engine temp on my 84 5ks.  

The car used to always run right around the second thick dash-mark,
(quarter mark??), but then it started running about halfway between the
quarter, and the half mark, and as of late, its a lot closer to the half
mark.  Needless to say I'm concerned as to what's going on.  I've always
though that the guage was probably a bit on the low side, and probably
stuck, so my first though is that the guage just unstuck itself, and is
working properly, but I don't know for sure.  I checked the coolant level,
and I haven't noticed any leaks.  I turned the climate system off to stop
the radiator fan, and it did not cause any noticable change in engine temp,
so I assume that is working correctly.  

Anything else I can check to make sure everything is fine?  I know there
has been a lot of talk about this recently, but the messages I saw mostly
had to do with the sensitivity of the guages.  If this is repetetive, I
apologize.  I will check the archives to make sure I didn't miss anything.

PS-  Does anyone know if Santa drives a quattro up in the North Pole??
I'll bet he does.  :)
