The surging is definitely time slices and not rpm dependent.
If you hit say 3/4 throttle you get maybe 3-4 surges before hitting
say 5k rpm. If hit 1/4 throttle you get 12-15 surges because it takes
longer to get to 5k rpm....
It sure feels like the computer is cutting back then opening up again
in .5 second cycles.
Perhaps the dual knock sensor's are dialing back the timing then advancing....
This is why I was going to try an octane booster just to see if I effect
the symtpom.
Unfortunatly no one replied on whether or not this could be harmfull to my engine.
