Re: wheel bearing for 5000CSTQ?

Hi Frank

I went shopping for bearings today. The SKF number is and OEM number and
couldn't be cross referenced at the bearing supply shop. I went to the dealer
and got a price ($120CDN) and the FAG part number. The FAG number also couldn't
be cross-referenced. I then went to various auto parts suppliers and found out
that bearing is only used in 5000 quattro's, hence the crazy pricing. The part
places ranged in price from $187 to $89CDN.

If it was a more popular non-OEM only bearing such as the one on my coupe it
would be about $25. Drag, guess I'll have to pop the big bucks.
