[Fwd: strange noises after changing 3b Tbelt]

When I changed the timing belt on my 96 S6 3b motor, I tightened the timing
belt too tight and the water pump was making groaning noises.  The pump was
not making noises before the belt change.  I loosend the belt a little and
the noise has stopped.  No other T-belt related problems in the last 20k
mi.  In my opnion the timing belt needs to be relatively loose.  It needs
to be easy to twist it 90 degrees. 

any other opnions???
