Re: TT Sighting at AofA
Tom, et al:
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I've seen the two TTs that
were at McDonald Audi/VW here in Denver (Littleton), and found them to
be charming, and hauntingly familure...look closely at a side on
profile. This car carries on the styling of the pre- A 356 Porsche. I
got out last months Road & Track, which has a clean side shot of the TT,
and got out one of my 356 books and the ratios of body to green house,
the hood to rear deck, the angle of the "fast back" roof line are
simular. I find the size and proportions are spot on. Now take a moment
and study a '53 or a '54 bent window 356, the one with the bumpers at
the bottom of the body, not neccesarrlly a 356 C. The "C" really looks
more like a 911, than a TT.
I do like the TT...I've always liked "art deco"...and Erwin
Komenda's work on the 356.
Just my observations on the TT:
