oil filter conversion?

I want to convert an 88 5000Q NF-code (NA) engine oil-filter setup from the
thermostat/oil-cooler fitting to the basic 4KQ plain-old
oil-filter-on-block setup. I removed the thermostat/oil-cooler fitting from
the block OK. Now I need to make the stock oil-filter bolt up. Is the
threaded pipe in the 4KQ block removable? Available as a sep part? Other
suggestions?
