Installing cap and rotor - just put it on, or is there a specific way to do it?
Just got my tune-up kit delivered today from Blau and will be installing it
this weekend. My plan was to note the location of the old rotor and put the
new one on in the same location, same with the cap. Is this acceptable?
Also, the new wires don't have the rubber boot that covers the wires by the
spark plugs. I assume that the boots from the old wires are removable and
will be able to be put them on the new wires?
Lastly, is there anything I should be aware of while doing this? It seems
like it should be pretty straight forward. BTW, this is for the '86 4k.
Oh, I just had new plugs put on a month ago, so I don't really need the
plugs that came with this tune-up kit. Any takers? If not, I guess I'll hold
on to them until the next tune up.
