My 85 coupe has a similar leak - but at the rubber thing *under the
battery*.  So I have yanked the entire set of lines off a parts car and
plan to swap 'em.  Easier than a patch in this case.  I envy you.  A
short length of hose oughtta be ok, but a better fix would be a bit of
pipe and compression fittings.  I mean the ones with the little brass
donuts that get squished in tight by a locking nut.  Don't know how hard
it would be to get the right size.
