I forwarded my budget post from my conversion. It will be differant for you
because it is a differant motor.

Can also pick up a 5ktq for around $5k so might want to look into that.
Graydon just sold his SCREAMER for ~$5500. You should be able to find a
quick car for cheap.

It is alot of fun.

BTOT. Had 3 Saabs and loved them. Not in the same class as an Audi as far
as driving. Much heavier feel and slower steering but otherwise very
enjoyable. Loved the utility of the hatch back and the smoothness of the
switch gear. If hp is the goal than a 5kqt is a much better buy IMO. Give
you approximately the same feel as a SPG and more room to boot. And of
course there is the quattro thing. You will never go back once you have
driven an AWD car for some time.

The wife would like the 5kqt better.

Pat Martin
864000csq turbo, 2 1/2 cat back, H&R-Boge, MC and loving it. Drilled and
stopping it. Koenig Cobra 16x7 with Yokohama A520's turning it, K&N and
uh..., Soon: Hella's lighting it.
