Coloant sure does drop below freezing, as long as you mean the freezing
point of water and not the freezing point of the coolant.
About heat transfer, I'm guessing "delta t" means temperature difference
right? That doesn't mean it will transfer heat better, the important factor
is thermal conductivity( usually written as k). Liquids conduct more heat
than air so are more efficient at removing heat. For example, water at 90
degrees will carry away more heat than air at 60 degrees.
