CQ wiper/washer question
Here's the deal.
Last week, I ran out of washer fluid, nothing came out either on the
headlights or the hood. A little bit later, the washer fluid warning light
came on.
So, naturally, I filled up the reservoir with wiper fluid. (The front
reservoir, that is, I didn't know about the 2nd one under the hood). So I
turn the wipers on and nothing happens. I turn on the lights, and get a
very quick spray on the lights, and hear a cascading water sound. After
checking the reservoir, I notice I've lost about half the juice after
trying three or four times.
Here's my question:
I"m assuming there's two reservoirs and one pump for the
windshield/headlight washer system. Is that how it works? The front
reservoir would be for the headlights, and the rearward one (not trunk)
would be for the windshield. Is this correct?
Also, has anyone had any experience with this before? It sounds to me like
I have a substantial leak or disconnected hose in the headlight system. Any
advice before I start rummaging around in there?
TIA
