In my neck of the woods its diffucult to get an Audi owner to wave back/flash
lights.  Most of the Audi owners are 30-65 on occasion a 4kq or 5kq owner will
wave back.  But when riding my motorcycle its no problem to get another
cyclists to wave/nod back.  When driving my 16v Scirocco, Corrado SLC or even
my '82 Rabbit truck (it has a Volkswagen Motorsport windscreen banner) I have
no problems getting other Vdubers to wave back/flash lights.  Like you said,
when I had my '72 CJ-5 (way before VW or Audi) it was not a problem except for
some of the Wrangler owners.  Most Audi owners don't work/modify their cars so
they are not really connected to them or the Audi scene.
