Mobil's own datasheet on their Mobil 1 products:

Note how the comments about 0W30, 5W30 and 10W30 mention improved fuel
economy and cold starting.  _NOTHING_ about performance cars.

Then check out what the 15W50 paragraph says:

   Mobil 1 Formula 15W50 is especially suitable for high-performance
   cars, particularly hot-running or heavily loaded vehicles and
   special high-tech imports.
