re: urq (or any audi) costs per year
I've put the following onto my 86 5kcstq:
water pump, radiator, upper and lower hoses
timing belt, idler pulley
rear brakes, rotors, emergency brake cables
front CV joints
right rear CV joint and bearing
electric auxilary water pump
starter
correct battery
distributor electronics
front window motors
blower motor
clutch slave and master cylinder
alternator
Unfortunately, all was done at the shop as I was in a graduate program at the
time. I think it totals about the same as my purchase price ($4000). All of
this is since 1/3/96. I'll have to double check but I think I've only put
20k miles on it (it was the third car for most of the time). So that makes
it $2.50 a mile. I guess it would have been cheaper to rent at Hertz!!
