RE: CV joint mixing

I have put 30,000 miles on mine after re-doing the boot and they have
180,000 miles total. So I dont think it really matters much. I
*accidentally* disassembled the first one and the balls went flying
accross the garage floor. BOy was that disconcerting :-) The second one
I did on purpose because it had dirt and sand in there that had to come
out but I was in a Public Bathroom doing it in a parking lot the day
before Thanksgiving so I managed to get the balls mixed up again. I think
the only important part is that the race is facing the right way (outer
edge is still outer edge) but I may have mixed that up too on my first
one. Think I got it right though. People say not to mix them up and I
think ideally that is good not to but Audi CV's are beefy and seem to wear
even so I dont think it REALLY is bad.
BTW, this is with outer CV-s. Inners may have bigger problems but
I doubt it. Good luck
