GVR4 owner might buy an A4!




Well, I am new to the list and my old car is just that, old.  Thinking of 
getting a new one.  The A4 1.8T Quattro is the only logical choice.  So
now I have a ton of questions about the beast.  About 300 hp is my goal
because I don't want to start breaking stuff.

questions:
1.  ECU:  It seems that every stage I've seen lists a new chip.  Can't I
just buy one chip to raise the boost and then use a bleeder valve to control
the boost level?
2.  Does the A4 use a MAP sensor or a Mass air flow sensor? 
3.  Turbo upgrade:  which one is the best and the best priced?  I can do the
port work myself so I don't want it ported.  I don't like clipped turbos either.
(I wonder if my Mitsubishi 16G will bolt on?)
4.  Injectors/fuel pump:  can the stock ones handle 300hp?
5.  I'm guessing the ignition system can handle 300hp, right?
6.  Vendors:  which are the "best" for upgrades?
