VW & Audi Platforms?

Does anyone have a list of what vehicles were built on what platforms?
I am sure I have seen bits and pieces of this come up before but I never
seen it all in one place.

77-83 5000 series cars were all built on the same platform (D1 I think)
84-91 5000/100/200 series car where all built on the same platform (D2 I
think)
92-97 100/A6/S4/S6 series cars were all built on the same platform (D3 I
think)
90-94 V8Q series cars were all built on the same platform
97-on A8 series cars were all built on the same platform
80-87 4000 series cars were all built on the same platform
88-92 80/90 series cars were all built on the same platform
93-95 80/90 series cars were all built on the same platform
96-on A4 series cars were all built on the same platform

VW series vehicles??
98 Passat shares the A4 platform
The new Jetta shares the Audi A3 platform but the plat form is designated as
a4??!!
I have this all confused and I have never seen any VW Audi publications that
explain it.
I will be glad to share the complete listing if I can get enough info to
make a complete list.
