removing window regulator
H'Audi all, one of my 1990 200tqa's rear windows doesn't function. I've
tried switching both switches, to no avail. My next step has been to try to
remove the regulator (I assume that is what one calls the round, flattish
thingy with the two cables emerging from the rim of the disc). After much
wrestling with the door panel, I finally removed it and tried to tackle the
regulator. However, the cables have me stumped. My Bentleys says to leave
the cables on the regulator, but I have been unable to work the other ends
of the cables loose from the mounts on the raising and lowering arms. Is
there a special tool? Will I have to admit defeat and consult an expert? Is
there some way I can test the regulator while it is mounted to see if it is
truely nonfunctional or if its a bad connection/wire? Thanks in advance for
your help.
