Please don't use Fram or other junk oil filters on your Audi.  You just
have to put the factory filter next to the Fram to see how superior
the OEM filter is, and even more so if you were to cut the two apart
to examine the inside...

Buying a cheap filter would be penny-wise and pound-foolish.  This
has been discussed at length before.  Besides, the stock OEM filter
can be bought for very reasonable prices if you shop at the right place.
