stock spring rates in an early 83 UrQ?
hey all, i was just wondering what the stock spring rates are in the UrQ,
back when it had the rear sway bar.
Also, has anyone done any coilover conversions on an UrQ that could give
me some advice on spring rates? I have 340/250 in my 4kq, and im not
sure if i want to go higher or lower with the UrQ...
Im thinking of two things, either 250x10 front and rear, or maybe 400x9
front and 340x10 rear...
any opinions? My suspension tuning so far only deals with the 4kq with
smaller front roll bar and no rear roll bar, so i had to compensate for
it. I really like the way that the UrQ feels in the twisties, but its
just this side of floaty for the higher speed stuff. My 4kq with the
coilovers inspires confidance like nothing else at higher speeds, but i
dont want to go too stiff or too soft...
decisions decisions...
and btw, for the people who dont do the conversion for fear of ruining
the strut housings which are apparently quite valuable on the UrQ, I
asked 2Bennett about it and they say that it isnt too hard to revert it
back to stock....so....
any thoughts?
later...
