I can't help with Craig Porter's grindings, but I do have a new noise that
appeared
after the right-front wheel bearing was replaced.  I now get a "clunk," or
kind of a
"binding" noise on sharp turns in either direction.  The turns are not
particularly hard,
just sharp.  Seems like tires are scrubbing, but the differential light
indicate both
are unlocked.  Please mail dirrect with this discussion will bore the list.
