Have you checked the diagnostics for the HVAC control head? There are
two channels in particular that you need to look at. The first is the
one that tells you what position the HVAC system is telling the temp door
to go to, and the second is the actual position that the temp door is
at. These should be the same, and presumably, first thing in the morning,
they should be at full hot.
If they are both the same and at full hot, then check the Bowden cable
that goes to the temp door, for binding. It is cheap to buy and easy to
install if you find it is failing.
