When we had a battery drain problem on Roger Galvin's V8, we found that
a badly installed alarm was arming the window switches after one minute.

The clue was parking the car in a dark garage and setting the alarm.
After a minute, you could see all the switch backlights come on.

The alarm installers at first denied all responsibility, then they called
their head office and mentioned - it seems for the first time - that the
car was a V8Q.  It seems the standard wiring manual (the one for the
alarm, not the car) has a misprint for one of the modules needed to
interface the alarm with the V8Q's loom.
