Andrew,
I didn't have the A6Q long before I switched it to Mobil 1 and it's my
wife's daily driver so I don't start it every morning thus I don't have as
large a sample size of starts to pull from as other listers.  Now, that I've
said that;  yes, I do think there's a bit more lifter noise when cold after
switching to Mobil 1.  I, too, am puzzled as I believe that synthetics are
at the most advantage in extreme conditions, both hot and cold. Perhaps a
more technically enlightened listmember could fill us in.
