Flying with bomb problem solved, kind of...
After thinking about it for a while, I came to the conclusion that it is
only about a 1/20 chance that the airport security will even notice the
pressure accumulator. We have got a lot of scary looking things through the
security check. The last trip was the worst! We had some GMC Syclone engine
and transmission parts that totaled at more than 300 pounds! I can say that
the limited slip differential of the syclone must have looked really scary
on the Xray! But we didn't get paged...The Audi alternator and the new
igniction cables in the hand luggage did however cause quite a stir at the
security check! The same with the headlights!
But it looks like I am going to buy the bomb in Sweden after all, they have
dropped the price from SEK 5300.- (660$) to SEK 1700.- (210$) since I last
checked the price two month ago! By the way this includes our 25% tax!, I
will also get an other 15% of the price because a friend of mine works in
parts at VAG.
We can just hope that this means that VAG is trying to lose their 'higest
parts prices guaranteed' reptuation.
