What year is it? You probably also want to take a close look at the major
seals, especially on a pre-1994 car. The early V6s had many problems with
oil leaks. Valley pan and front seals should be easy & cheap with the
heads off and timing belt replacement.

Have you checked out how much the repairs may cost? I don't have any
first-hand experience (fortunately!) but a trusted mechanic friend of
mine said that the several V6s he's repaired following timing belt
failure have run $2300-$2800 in _parts_. And he wasn't talking dealer
mark-up, either...
