2) Anyone had any experience with the 2-piece Audi exhaust manifold or the
Dialynx manifold for the MC engine? Any other more cost-effective way to
improve reliability and better flow? I know the stock manifold is prone to
breaking studs under hard use. Also, is there a downpipe from a different
Audi that might flow better? I believe a TQC downpipe will work. The
previous owner already installed a Scorpion exhaust on the car.
You'll hear conflicting results/opinions with the Dialynx e.m.
Prior to having mine installed, I had it heat treated to very high temps
(not sure what degree) and then planed. After 5000 miles, I had to
rip the motor apart because of other problems(don't ask) and checked
the Dialynx e.m. again. Straight as could be and not one nut had backed
off. Also, try and get an Ur-q downpipe. Larger than 5k tq and it works
well with the Dialynx e.m. HTH,
