The only boost protection is a circuit i wired up using the 5k knock
sensor. It lights a light on my dash board. As for computer controlled
boost, the CIS-E has no way of controlling it.

The only boost control is my pressure regulator on the back of the
wastegate. I trimmed the stock spring down so i can run as low as 2
psi, and i think a max of like 22 psi or so.

No, protection, just when my light comes on, turn down the boost or let
my foot off the gas. you get used to the conditions, cool weather, good
fuel, it doesn't do too bad. It's not like i keep it at 20 psi all the
time. It's my daily driver, and i put good fuel in it, so i tend to
keep it around 8 psi, and unless it's really hot, climbing a hill
lugging in 5th gear, i dont' get any knocks.

Nope. I just turn on my fans to cool things down.
