Subject: Heater Blower Motor- '90 CQ, WTB Bently

Hi all,

Happy New Year! Well, driving home from S. Jersey today,
--I hope you didn't catch any fleas. (a mere joke)
this whinning noise(more like finger nails on chalk board) came on as I
turned on the
climate control. The noise went away when I turned the heat off.
--Dry bearings, worn brushes.
I usually hate heat but today was just too cold.
--CQ heat is warm heat
Anyway, my guess is the heater blower motor is gone.
That's how acted prior to its death..
My questions is do I need a new blower or rebuild?
--You can try to oil or grease it, And if you disassemble it, a Bosch
shop can likely order specific components of the fan. A regrease bought
me --about 5000 miles of frequent use. Its getting loud again.
How much does it cost?
--$100 from Blau.
Can I fix the current one?
--For good? I doubt it. It is, furthermore, a PITA to get to unless you
are 4' 10", 60 lbs, and a trapeze artist.
Also, my instrument temperature gauge needle goes to middle for a
little while then goes all the way back to the left. Where is the
connection?
--The back of the instrument cluster.
Do I have a bad contact?
--Doubt it. When these senders die, they die intermittently.
Lastly, does anyone have a Bently for
a '90 CQ for sale?
--Try Ebay or Barnes and Noble.

--You may want to send specific inquiries such as this to the 20v list.
