Impact wrenches are for:

a) Undoing things

b) Incompetent morons

(Nomex zipped _all_ the way up)

You don't need or even want an impact wrench to deal with these jobs.
A 3/4" drive power socket, short extension, T-bar and torque wrench
would serve you _FAR_ better. Make sure the socket is fairly
thin-walled - there isn't much room in there with the wheel on. I've
been told that there's more room if you replace the road wheel with
an emergency "digestive biscuit" spare, but I've never checked.

The nut should be the same as the ur-quattro (also 5-bolt) at 32mm.
Torque is probably also the same at 280Nm. The microfiche says to
spread a 5mm wide stripe of 'D6' locking paste around the splines of
the half-shaft and let it harden for 60 minutes.
