The purpose of the valve cover baffle is to ensure that
the first big drop of oil you're putting in through the
filler and through the clearance between baffle and valve
cover, gets spilt over the edge and over the valve cover.
:) Otherwise the oil would just go in if the baffle wasn't
there. :) Oh well, so as to the milky coating and odd
pressures between cylinders, perhaps doing a ring change
would help cleanup blow-by?
