Seat Heaters
Thanks to all who responded on the seat heater element fix. What's confusing
is that I have had responses that stated the fix time being from 10 minutes to
an hour. On a side note I have been experiencing a howling sound from the
engine compartment which I suspected was the power steering pump. I checked
the pump and it is leaking. The dealer wants $540 to fix it...obviously I
said no thanks. I called Blau and they wanted $340. I checked with them
about fixing the seat heater element while they had the car and they said it
was about an 8 hour job! How can this be? I was trying to avoid fixing it
myself, since it'll probably stay below zero for the next couple of months and
I don't have a heated garage. So much for that.
Also my cruise control dosen't work when it is extremely cold. Once the
engine is hot enough the cruise seems to work. Is this a sign for that to
fail soon also?
Thanks
Vince
