It has already been done. Take a look at this
picture at the Euro Spares website
http://www.eurospares.com/wildbik1.jpg . This bike
was tested in Cycle Canada last year. I want it
bad! The bike weighs 320lbs uses a 100hp 580cc
Rotax snowmobile engine a homebuilt carbon fibre
frame and a custom built single sided aluminium
swing arm. The bike was made by Ted Wilkins, who
lives in Ontario, Canada and is well known in hill
climb racing circles. He used the variable belt
drive clutch from the snowmobile as well. That
means the engine would be right in the meat of the
power band at all times while accelerating. The
system works great on his climbing bike. The
tester from Cycle Canada liked driving the bike so
it must work well and it looks fantastic. The only
way I'll ever get one is to make one myself. :-(
